The New Star Wars series fronted by Jon Favreau starts shooting this week. Kathleen Kennedy could not be more thrilled to welcome him in this new endeavor. There are rumors that the live-action show will involve locations such as Tatooine and will take place around 3 years after Return of the Jedi. The series will premiere on Disney’s direct to consumer streaming service and will be the first live-action television for Star Wars.

Star Wars Adventures: Heroes of the Galaxy is a small collection of short stories. In “Better The Devil You Know”, we see what happens when Unkar Plutt gets kidnapped on Jakku and Rey sets of to the rescue. In Tales From Wild Space “Stop, Thief!” we find ourselves in wild space with Emil, Crater and Boo where Emil shares the story of a thief by the name of Tri Tellon who finds herself smart after stealing from Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Like every child born in the late ’70’s, Star Wars was nestled somewhere  in my background . Nowadays I don’t remember much of it aside from some of the more major plot lines. Of course there was a fondness for C3PO. C3PO is so soft spoken and kind, something I still agree with 30 odd years later.

As you all know D23 is the time of the year to see all the new things that Disney has in store for us. And this year Star Wars fans were not to be left disappointed! We got to see a wonderful huge scale model of the upcoming Star Wars land and it looks breath taking! It has everything you could dream of. The sheer size of it is a lot more than I had ever dared hope. The planet is yet to be named but it looks to be a relatively dense wooded area.
